Hey, I’m Pia
First things first, in case you were wondering, you pronounce my name like Mia or Tia or Ria but with a P...some people are unsure so just thought I'd put it out there :-)
I'm an Essex photographer and my studio is based in Billericay. I loved taking photographs from a young age, I remember getting my first Nikon compact (film!) camera when I was a youngen, I was obsessed with it, years later the world turned digital and of course I did too! But me being a creature of habit, I still stick to Nikon!!
Photography has been my hobby for years, I've always loved snapping, so very shortly after having my third child, I bit the bullet and went back to college to study it properly and I LOVED it! And as they say, the rest is history!
I have done various types of photography; portrait, weddings, maternity, events, school portraits, etc. For people of all ages, newborn, toddlers, children, couples, families and so on. I was eventually asked to do a boudoir shoot by a woman who needed a boost. I explained that I hadn’t done one before but was definitely up for the challenge! Well, it was this shoot that I realised this was the genre I was supposed to be doing. It was fun and I loved how the woman’s confidence grew throughout the session, and although she hadn’t planned to “bare all”, at the end of the session she decided to go for it (tastefully of course). She absolutely rocked her session and her self-esteem was definitely boosted. Boudoir is now my main genre, I only do other types for my regular clients pre boudoir; they’ve been loyal for so many years which I appreciate greatly so I would never turn them away.
A little bit about me personally; I am married with 3 children (one teenager and two primary schoolers). They keep me very busy but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
I don’t have many hobbies, I don’t have time, but I used to dance, in more recent years I learnt to pole dance, which was lots of fun – apart from the muscle aches and bruises, but when everything closed down due to covid, I got out of the habit and never returned….not sure my body could cope now anyways!! Haha. At least I still have photography to enjoy!
